French Fashion Challenge
In early February, a group of French GCSE students from Year 10 took part in a fashion challenge.
The event, held at the Girls’ High School, was attended by teams from all over the East Midlands. It was organised by Business Language Champions, an organisation which promotes the importance of language skills in industry and business.
After a talk from one of the Fashion and Design lecturers from Nottingham Trent University, the team had to design, launch and market a new pair of trousers. They had to prepare an internet advert and pitch their ideas in French to a Dragons’ Den style panel.
Three of our students were on the winning team and have won a day in the Fashion and Design department at NTU, one of the leading universities in this field.
Thanks to Mrs Rogers for organising the logistics, and to Mrs Doyle for working with the students on the day.
