Klezmer Group at The Royal Concert Hall
On Saturday 16th June, Klezmer Group had the honour of performing at The Royal Concert Hall in their final After Hours concert of the season.
Immediately after the evening's main concert, Klezmer Group struck up in the bar area and were delighted to have a very large and very appreciative audience. There was a considerable amount of toe tapping and clapping along, which made the whole experience great fun.
The students performed a set of about 30 minutes and played extremely well - so well that and they got a repeat booking for next year!
Klezmer Group would like to thank The Royal Concert Hall for the opportunity to play at such a prestigious venue and event and now can’t wait until the next time!
Earlier, The Hallé Orchestra and The Hallé Choir had performed Mahler’s mighty 2nd Symphony, more commonly known as The Resurrection. The combined forces of the vast array of instruments and singers produced a stunning effect and the final movement was a real spectacle to behold. Klezmer Group students and their families were given free tickets to the concert.
