Trinity Goes to the Opera
A group of Trinity A-Level musicians went to the Theatre Royal on the evening of the 14th March to see Mozart's opera Don Giovanni, performed by Opera North.
It was a stunning production, which really encapsulated the humour and drama in the storyline. The singers were inspirational and dazzled us with their incredible vocal ranges and agility.
The opera The Marriage of Figaro, also by Mozart, is studied by all our A-Level musicians. Don Giovanni was written a year later and this performance gave us the chance to put much more of our knowledge about The Marriage of Figaro into context and experience the many similarities and differences.
