Handball Teams

Years 7 and 8

Thursday 25th February saw the Year 7 and Year 8 girls and boys teams compete. The girls went from strength to strength and did very well to reach the final where they lost to a competitive Rushcliffe team.

The boys went into the final undefeated and were very much tipped favourites from the early rounds. They performed impressively to win gold!

Both teams did the school proud on the day. As a result of their support of each other they were, as a school, awarded the Spirit of the Games award which was a fantastic end to the day.

Years 9 and 10

Friday 26th February saw the Years 9 and 10 teams compete. The girls started off in the morning and comfortably got through to the final, beating Ashfield in the semi-final 8-0. The girls met their nemesis West Bridgford in the final and it was very much a rerun of last year. After beating them earlier in the rounds, the Trinity team should have won but ended up losing by a goal in the final minutes.

The boys played in the afternoon and again played very well to reach the finals. They played a very strong Carlton team who beat them in the final.

Well Done

All four teams now progress to the Midland competition. Well done to all those involved.
