County Handball Success

Three Trinity Handball teams have been selected to represent Nottinghamshire at the Midlands Finals in May.

Two of the teams, the Year 8 Boys and the Year 10 Boys, won their County Finals recently, and the third team, the Year 10 Girls, came second. It was these successes that led to the teams being selected for the regional event.

School Winter Games County Finals

The County Finals took place at The University of Nottingham on 16th February. Schools from all over Nottinghamshire were in attendance with Trinity representing Nottingham City.

The Trinity Year 8 Boys and Year 10 Boys made the finals and both teams fought hard throughout the tournament, successfully qualifying from the league format to the knock out stages. Amazingly, both teams manged to win their quarter-final and semi-final matches to reach the final. The Trinity Year 8 team then manged to win their final against West Bridgford School and the Trinity Year 10 team also won their final against Ashfield School.

The Year 10 Girls were the final team from Trinity representing Nottingham. After a closely contested tournament, including winning their semi-final against Brunts School, on penalties, they came up against previous champions Rushcliffe School in the final once again. The girls played extremely well, losing out in a narrow final to finish in 2nd place overall.

Well Done

A massive well done goes to all of the students involved!
