The Midlands Finals

The prestigious event was held at the Derby Arena and attended by the county champions from Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Staffordshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire, Staffordshire and Worcestershire.
The Year 8 Boys Handball Team set the standard for Trinity in the morning, finishing top of their group to qualify for the final. They encountered a very physical Rushley Mead School but eventually ran out winners in a close-fought game to claim the title of Midlands Champions.
The Year 10 Girls Handball Team finished runners-up in their group and advanced to the knock-out stages. The girls were victorious against Hinckley Grammar School in the semi-final to set up a repeat of the 2016 final. The team battled hard but were eventually beaten by Rushcliffe School to finish Midlands Runners-up.
The Year 10 Boys Handball Team were once again in excellent form, finishing top of their group, winning every game in order to qualify for the final. A superb team performance saw them run out convincing 4-1 winners against Hinckley Grammar School to be crowned Midlands Champions.
